CDC Sketches

These are from our CDC Drawing group at work. It stands for Corner Drawing Club (as Craig Mackay clarified, not to be confused with the Center for Disease Control)..basically because whoever wants to, meets on the corner outside the building to draw.
I got inspired by a post on the Drawn blog which showed Brenden Wetzel's quick sketches using watercolor and pen. I'm not sure which he did first, but I really admired how the watercolor captured the gesture shape while the pen added the expression.

I tried my own version which was really fun and different. I chose to do the watercolor first to try to capture the shapes and silhouettes of people walking by and waiting for the light to change. I didn't add too much pencil, but I'm sure I'll experiment more with this in the future.
Here are a few sketches, and one caricature of Kelvin.
